When is Charter Season?

In the Pacific Northwest, charter season typically kicks off around April and can run through November. Of course, the ocean makes the rules. Some years the fish show up early and stick around late, and other years they take their time arriving or head offshore sooner than expected. We keep a close eye on conditions all season long to make sure we’re on the fish when the bite is hot. Here are the general seasons:

  • Ling Cod and Bottom Fish: April-November

  • Halibut: May-November

  • Salmon: June-October

  • Tuna: July-October


Private Trips

All trips are private charters, meaning you reserve the entire boat for your group — no mixed parties. This allows for a more personalized experience and maximum fishing time.

Trip Rates

  • Albacore Tuna Offshore Charter — $4,200

  • Pacific Halibut Charter — $3,200

  • Lingcod & Rockfish Bottom Fishing — $2,400

  • Salmon Fishing Charter — $1,950

All charters depart from Winchester Bay, Oregon

Booking & Trip Details

    • A friendly, experienced Captain and skilled deckhand

    • A comfortable ride on a FAST offshore boat

    • Full day of fishing (typically 6:00am–5:00pm, depending on tides and conditions)

    • Top-of-the-line tackle and gear

    • Snacks: chips, crackers, nuts, jerky, granola bars

  • Charters typically depart by 6:00am and return around 5:00pm. Exact timing may vary based on tides, ocean conditions, and where the fish are biting. We’ll always communicate details ahead of your trip so you know what to expect.

    • A 20% deposit is required to secure your private boat reservation.

    • Cancellations made within 14 days of your scheduled trip will forfeit the deposit.

    • If weather conditions require the Captain to cancel, your deposit will be refunded promptly.

  • Due to fluctuating diesel prices, a fuel surcharge applies when fuel exceeds $4.00 per gallon at the pump.

    • Each additional $1.00 per gallon results in a $200 charge (or a prorated amount based on fuel prices).

    • The surcharge is due at the conclusion of your trip.

    • We are happy to provide an estimated surcharge prior to your trip.

    • If fuel costs require cancellation and it’s within 2 weeks of your scheduled date, deposits will be refunded.
