The Boat

Smoke Show is a 42-foot offshore fishing vessel designed for speed, comfort, and serious performance on the Pacific. Powered by twin CAT C12.9 diesel engines producing a combined 1,700 horsepower, she cruises comfortably above 30 knots—getting you to the fishing grounds quickly so you can spend more time with lines in the water.

These modern CAT engines run clean with minimal exhaust smell, making for a more pleasant ride offshore. Built as a hardtop express, the boat is exceptionally seaworthy and stable in open-ocean conditions while still offering a smooth, comfortable experience for anglers throughout the day.

Smoke Show Offshore Fishing is equipped with advanced marine technology, including a Seakeeper gyro stabilization system designed to dramatically reduce side-to-side motion while drifting or fishing in offshore swells.

This system helps minimize fatigue and seasickness, keeping you comfortable and focused throughout long days on the Pacific. Even on an already stable 42-foot offshore fishing platform, the Seakeeper takes ride quality to an entirely new level, delivering a smoother, steadier experience in changing ocean conditions.

The cockpit is outfitted with two 100-gallon refrigerated fish boxes built directly into the deck, allowing your catch to be rapidly chilled the moment it hits the boat. Proper fish care starts with bleeding and icing immediately, and our super-cold saltwater slurry system drops temperatures well below freezing—preserving freshness and delivering top-quality albacore from ocean to dock.

Spaciousness is another major advantage aboard Smoke Show. With 155 square feet of open cockpit deck, you have room to move, battle fish, and rotate along the rail without crowding. Few boats (even much larger vessels) offer this much working space, making the 42-foot platform one of the most comfortable and fishable offshore charter boats on the Oregon Coast.

Smoke Show Offshore Fishing is outfitted with top-tier marine electronics designed to maximize safety, efficiency, and fish-finding power in the open Pacific. At the helm, multiple large Garmin displays provide real-time access to sonar, radar, chartplotting, onboard cameras, and thermal imaging.

Additional Garmin screens in the cockpit and tower keep you connected to the action no matter where you’re fishing from. A premium onboard sound system lets you enjoy your favorite music while full-boat camera coverage captures epic hookups, deck action, and unforgettable moments offshore.

Comfort is equally dialed in. The helm features three Llebroc captain’s chairs, plus extra seating along the starboard side and aft bulkhead. Outside, the raised mezzanine overlooking the cockpit offers a protected place to relax, breathe in the ocean air, and watch the rods while staying out of the wind.

The fully enclosed, climate-controlled bridge keeps you warm, dry, and comfortable in changing offshore conditions, with both heating and air conditioning for year-round versatility. While tuna season on the Oregon Coast often brings beautiful afternoons, early mornings can still be chilly or damp and having a quiet, protected helm makes the ride offshore far more enjoyable.

After years of fishing open-air setups, the upgrade to a sealed, temperature-controlled wheelhouse transforms the experience, letting you relax on the run out and arrive at the grounds refreshed and ready to fish.
